Police foil suicide attempt by 2 brothers
The II Town police on Sunday foiled a suicide attempt of two brothers in the town. According to II Town Circle Inspector Degala Prabhakar, M Mukthar Mohammed and M Juber Ahmed, the two brothers are residents of Atmakur.

Mukthar Ahmed is the eldest and Juber Ahmed is the youngest. Mukthar married with a resident of Krishna Nagar in Kurnool two years ago. Since their marriage, some disputes cropped up between the couple, the CI stated.
Younger brother Juber wanted to settle his elder brother’s married life after holding talks with his brother’s in-laws. But something went wrong while holding talks and the in-laws reportedly threatened Juber that they will file police cases against the brothers. Later, Juber intimated the same to his brother Mukthar. Fearing of police cases, both the brothers concluded to end their lives, the CI added.
The brothers came to old bus stand and climbed a water tank to commit suicide by jumping from it. Acting on the information, the police rushed to the water tank and pacified and brought them to ground. The CI said that Mukthar was working as an executive at Bajaj Finance company. The II Town police registered a case.
