Kurnool: The III-Town Circle Inspector RG Subramanyam has registered a case against Byreddy Rajasekhar Reddy, his nephew Byreddy Siddhartha Reddy and seven more persons on the charges of attacking and injuring three persons on the late evening of Sunday.
According to the available information, Raghu Rami Reddy, a native of Konetammapalle village under the Nandikotkur constituency, along with two more friends, Jagadishwar Reddy and Bharat Kumar Reddy, were dining at a Dhaba situated near a check-post at Nandyal.
Some masked persons, armed with lethal weapons, have attacked Raghu Rami Reddy and his friends. After the attack, the assailants fled the scene on motor bikes.
Jagadishwar Reddy and Bharat Kumar Reddy, who received minor injuries, immediately rushed Raghu Rami Reddy to Vijaya Hospital for treatment. After admitting him in the hospital, they informed the incident to YSRCP state general secretary Gowru Venkat Reddy, as Raghu Rami Reddy is his close associate.
Gowru rushed to the hospital and directed the doctors to provide good treatment. Suspecting Byreddy Rajasekhar Reddy’s hand behind the attack, Venkat Reddy has demanded stringent action against Byreddy Rajasekhar Reddy, his nephew Byreddy Siddhartha Reddy and seven others.
He said Raghu Rami Reddy was earlier in TDP and later joined the YSRCP. On learning about the incident, Kurnool DSP S Khader Basha rushed to the spot and enquired about the incident with the Dhaba organisers.
Later, he visited the hospital where Raghu Rami Reddy and two of his associates were being treated. After recording the statement of injured, the DSP ordered the III-Town Circle Inspector Subramanyam to file a case.
