District Collector Veera Pandian inaugurated the 14-day handloom exhibition at Krishna Kala Mandir. Handloom weavers from Uravakonda, Dharmavaram, Venkatagiri, Mangalagiri Bunder, Pondur and Emmiganur opened stalls exhibiting sarees, shirtings and dress materials.

Anantapur: District Collector Veera Pandian inaugurated the 14-day handloom exhibition at Krishna Kala Mandir. Handloom weavers from Uravakonda, Dharmavaram, Venkatagiri, Mangalagiri Bunder, Pondur and Emmiganur opened stalls exhibiting sarees, shirtings and dress materials.

Addressing the gathering, collector Pandian called upon the people to purchase the weavers products and encourage the artisans. Joint collector Rama Mani was present. Handloom weavers from Telangana, Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal opened their stalls. State handlooms deputy director Nageshwara Rao and tahsildar Anwar Basha participated.
