Solar plant of Life Insurance Corporation zonal office opened
The Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) South Central Zonal Manager T Suseel Kumar on Tuesday inaugurated the LIC’s roof-top second solar power plant (50 KWP). It may be recalled that a 30 KWP first unit went on stream last year.

The LIC office expends at least 1,000 units a day and meeting nearly half 400 MW through solar power using the eco-friendly solar power and greatly reducing the carbon emissions.
The South Central Zone whose jurisdiction has been extended over part of Andhra, Telangana and Karnataka ranked number one among the LIC zones in using solar power.
Senior divisional manager of Kadapa M Ravi Kumar, LIC managers K Giridhar, Y Madhusudhan Reddy, AV Ramana, R Satyanarayana, P Aruna Vyas, engineering officers K Srinivasulu, D Sudarsan Reddy and others took part in the ceremony.
