CB Harinath Reddy, Commissioner of Kurnool Municipal Corporation, said his aim is to develop all the municipal parks in the city and wanted to extend a pleasant atmosphere to the residents. He visited the park at Baba Brindavan Nagar on Tuesday and inspected the facilities in the park and its surroundings.
Kurnool: CB Harinath Reddy, Commissioner of Kurnool Municipal Corporation, said his aim is to develop all the municipal parks in the city and wanted to extend a pleasant atmosphere to the residents. He visited the park at Baba Brindavan Nagar on Tuesday and inspected the facilities in the park and its surroundings.
Beautification works in the city are taken up on war-footing basis under smart city and Swachh Sarvekshan initiative, he added. Later, the Commissioner spoke to the residents and advised them to separate the wet and dry waste and hand it over to the civic staff, when they visit their houses.
The Commissioner assured residents of creating all facilities in the park and educated them about the cleanliness drive taken up by the Corporation. Harinath Reddy has asked the colony residents to form an association to take care of the park.
He has stated city development is possible only when there is a cooperation between the residents and the civic staff. The Commissioner advised the Assistant Director of Horticulture to expedite the developmental works at the park. He has directed him to set up a gymnasium besides setting up playing equipment for children.
Later, the civic official inspected sanitation works accompanied by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) officials and interacted with the shop organisers and advised them to keep the surroundings neat and clean. He also visited Nirmal Nagar and inspected the water tank and enquired about the construction of a compound wall and setting up of sewage treatment with Executive Engineer Ramana Murthy.
