Eluru: Pulse polio immunisation programme was launched across West Godavari district to administer polio drops to children in the age group of 0-5 years.
Eluru MLA Badeti Kota Rama Rao (Bujji) launched the pulse polio camp at the urban health centre at the fish market in Eluru city on Sunday by administering polio drops to infants.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that the state government took up measures to control polio in the state though there were no cases of polio reported. The government took up the programme only as a precautionary measure, he added.
