Before conducting review, the meeting condoled the deaths of five devotees who lost their lives during the heavy rain and hail storm at Vontimitta on Friday. Later, the Chief Minister received representations from the public at R&B guest house.

After the meeting Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, at the media conference, gave a briefing. He said that the Chief Minister agreed to immediately release Rs 237crores for payment of dues to the evacuees of Kondapuram village which is a submerged village under the limits of Gandikota Reservoir. The CM also directed the irrigation officials to prepare estimations with Rs 400 crores for construction of canals and for lining works etc for Gandikota Reservoir to store 26tmcft of water.

He said that presently the administration is able to utilise 5,000 cusecs of water from Galeru Nagari Srujala Sravanthi Scheme. It has to be increased to 20,000 cusecs by spending Rs 96 crores in coming days. The CM also directed the AP Transco officials to clear the 7,500 applications relating to transformers, the minister said. Government has paid Rs 1,356crores to 1,26,470 farmers under input subsidy, and Rs 446crores were spent for micro and sprinkle irrigation for the last four years against Rs 354crores for 10 years during the Congress government in the district, the minister said.

He further said Rs 108 crores were released for 2016-17 year under crop insurance and another Rs 71 crores are going to be released shortly. He said that Chief Minister sanctioned Rs 15lakh to each family of the deceased persons who lost their lives in the heavy rains and hail storm on Friday; also Rs 3lakhs to the critically injured persons, and Rs 1lakh to the persons who received minor injuries. Marketing Minister C Adinarayan Reddy, Rajampet MLA and government Whip MallikarjunaReddy, TDP district president RSriniasulu Reddy and others were were present at the press meet.
