Vijayawada: The Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) would introduce new integrity index system to monitor the functioning of the government officials and various departments, said CVC Commissioner KV Chowdary.

Participating in a meeting with the officials of Anti-Corruption Bureau and Vigilance and Enforcement officials here on Friday, he said that new system would come into force in next 15 days.

The CVC would keenly monitor the government expenditure and duties of officials, he said and added that the Commission would work as watch dog. Public opinion on various government works, officials and departments could be collected through integrity index system, he said.

The CVC should act against the corrupt employees and find lapses in tendering process of governments, he reiterated and admitted the government agencies could not made any headway in preventing frauds in banking system.

Stating that the staff should pass the information to the CVC, he said and added that then only they could curb such illegal practices. He congratulated the Andhra ACB for successfully implementing the operations.

The officials of AP ACB implemented various practices for taking up action against the corrupt officials and the departments. ACB Director General RP Takur was also present.
