Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said the state government had already requested the High Court to establish Fast Track Courts to deal with the sexual harassment on women and minor girls in the state.

In a review meeting on alleged rape on 8-year-old girl in old Guntur with Director General of Police M Malakondaiah and Chief Secretary Dinesh Kumar on Wednesday, Naidu directed them to constitute Special Task Force teams for speedy enquiry and to establish facts and evidences. It would help in reducing such crimes and criminals would get fear of punishment, he added.

Naidu said that he would not tolerate crime against women and added the police must provide proper evidence in the courts to ensure justice to victims and minor girls in rape and sexual harassment cases.

Unless police produce proper evidence in the court, the criminals may escape from the clutches of law, he observed. The police were also directed to prepare preventive measures regarding sexual harassment on women in the state.
