Vijayawada: A protest was organised by members of Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) at Lenin centre here on Monday. DSC aspirants also participated in the protest demanding that the government announce DSC notification.
Speaking on the occasion, DYFI district secretary T Praveen said that the protest was organised for the release of a DSC notification to fill teacher posts in the government schools. He said that the notification has to be released on July 6, but was postponed saying that the government has to get clearance from the finance department and postponed by 10 days.
He alleged that the government was planning to further postpone the date of DSC notification.The protesters demanded that the government increase the number of DSC posts from 10,351 to 19,000. DYFI state secretary M Surya Rao alleged that the state government was playing with the lives of the jobless youth.
