Prakasam district fencers selected for national championship
The Prakasam District Fencing Association has announced that two fencers from the district were selected for participating in the 9th Mini National Level Junior Fencing Championship, scheduled to be held in Maharashtra
Ongole: The Prakasam District Fencing Association has announced that two fencers from the district were selected for participating in the 9th Mini National Level Junior Fencing Championship, scheduled to be held in Maharashtra.
The association secretary, V Nageswara Rao said that the under 12 fencer M Ramcharan was selected in the Foil category while K Akshaya was selected in the Sabre category for the 9th Mini National Junior Fencing Championship.
He said that the fencers will participate in the championship to be held at Shiridi in Maharashtra from August 4 to 6. He said that these fencers’ selection was done on the basis of their performance at the 1st under-10 and 4th under-12 state level fencing championship ended on Sunday at Kadapa.
The association president, Balisetty Nageswara Rao, district fencing coaches R Naga Chiranjevi and B Bharat appreciated the fencers and whished the fencers all the best.
