Ongole: The District Legal Services Authority secretary, senior civil judge T Raja Venkatadri warned the stall owners in the RTC Bus Stand to maintain hygiene and standards in the quality and quantity of food items being sold to the customers.

He inspected the RTC Bus Stand compound suddenly along with the regional manager K Adam Saheb, I Town CI Feroz and other legal assistants on Friday evening.

After the inspection, Raja Venkatadri expressed anger over several stall owners that the standards are very poor in food stalls and lack of hygiene and cleanliness in fruit juice stalls.

He said that the stall owners should respect the rights of the consumers and protect them. He said that they should supply the food items in the specified weight and price in clean atmosphere.

He warned them criminal action will be initiated against them if the same situation is continued in his next visit.

The public expressed happiness over the sudden visit of the judge and asked him to continue such visits regularly to keep the stall owners away from robbing the passengers and misbehaving with them.
