Kakinada: The BJP criticised the TDP leadership for not visiting and consoling of victims’ families of boat tragedy in I Polavaram mandal in East Godavari district.
Speaking to media persons at district party office here on Tuesday, the BJP district unit president, Y Malakondayya said that it was very sad that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had not responded and visited the kin of the deceased in boat mishap.
Malakondayya also found fault with the authorities for mobilising the school children for Vanam- Manam programme on Saturday, a holiday.
Though they had taken the children on government programme, they failed in taking care for their safe return, Malakondayya remarked.
He said that their party national leader D Purandeswari who voted East Godavari on ‘Sampark Abhayan’ received good response from the prominent citizens whom she met during her two-day visit to the district.
These sections expressed their satisfaction over the BJP rule at Centre and also expressed willingness to support the party at state-level, Malakondayya said.
The BJP district unit chief found fault with Deputy CM N Chinarajappa for criticizing the observations of their party leader Purandeswari.
“We advise the minister to realize the facts first and then speak on the issue,” he said. The BJP leaders P Ravii Kiran and others were present.
