Guntur: Director of Municipal Administration K Kanna Babu has directed the municipal officials to complete setting up of Anna Canteens, modernisation of Anganwadis, planting of saplings, removal of posters to make poster-free city.
He addressed a meeting held at GMC Council Hall in Guntur city on Thursday.
Speaking on this occasion, he directed the officials to speed up GIS survey and expressed dissatisfaction over slow pace of GIS survey.
He reviewed segregation of wet and dry garbage, door-to-door garbage collection work and reviewed on plantation of saplings.
He directed them to plant 25 lakh saplings. They would give ranks to municipalities as per their performance. He instructed them to give tap connections immediately and set up special melas to give tap connections.
He also asked them to set up Anna Canteens by August 15. Property Tax board member secretary Challa Anurdha, assistant director Asha Jyothi were among those participated.
