Gathey Lalitha remembered

Rajamahendravaram: Floral tributes were paid to Gathey Lalitha (82), the pioneer of pre-school education and founder of Apple Valley Pre-School here on Friday.

City MLA Dr Akula Satyanarayana and alumni of the school remembered her services rendered to the school.

Impressed by American school system, she started the school 27 years ago at Prakash Nagar in the city.

Her daughter-in-law Gathey Bhuvaneswari who took the reigns of the school running the school with LKG and UKG classes though there is a scope for its expansion.

Gathey Lalitha brought laurels to the school with her dedicated service for a long period.
