Rajamahendravaram: The two-day Andhra Pradesh State Ranking Table Tennis Tournment-2018 began at Sri Tyagaraja Narayana Dasa Seva Samithi Auditorium here on Friday.
About 290 Table Tennis players across the state were participating in the tournament along with 75 coaches and technicians and 150 parents and assistants of the players also. As many as eight Stag Table Tennis tables were arranged in the air-conditioned auditorium.
According to Andhra Pradesh Table Tennis Association president and Tournament Organising Committee chairman Viswanadham Bhaskar Ram, the tournament would be held in 14 categories for both boys and girls.
In boys wing the categories are Youth Boys, Junior Boys, Sub-junior Boys, Cadet Boys, Mini cadet Boys and Boys Doubles. In girls wing, the categories are Youth Girls, Junioir Girls, Cadet Girls, Mini Cadet Girls, Sub-Junior Girls and Girls doubles.
SVG Market Committee chairman Nandepu Srinu, corporators Dr K Srinivas, N Srinivas, B Venu Gopala Rao, Asif Khan, A Balaji, SN Kumar, CMS Jayaraj, PVVSN Rao, Y Govind, TB Ram, VTVS Rao, PS Lakshmi, V Rambabu and many others were present.
