Rajamahendravaram: LIC Union leaders staged a dharna on the premises of divisional LIC office here on Thursday, expressing their solidarity to CITU’s Jail Bharo programme opposing foreign investments in public sector undertakings.
Addressing the union members, union leaders Saibaba, Benerjee and Satish said that everyone should fight against Central government with the inspiration of Quit India Movement, to oppose foreign investments in public sector undertakings.
They demanded that the Central government oppose foreign investments in the field of banking, insurance, coal, telecom etc in the country.
Scores of LIC union members participated in the dharna.
