Tirupati: In all about 25,000 pilgrims had darshan on Saturday till 6 p.m. while the pilgrims are waiting in 10 compartments in Vaikuntam Queue Complex (VQC).

1. Altogether, pilgrims were allowed to have darshan for 14 hours on Saturday
2. Pilgrims will be allowed darshan for 13 hours on Sunday

The Hundi income on Saturday is Rs 1.47 crore On the first day of MahaSamprokshanam, TTD allowed pilgrims for darshan in four spells. Morning 7 a.mto 10a.m, 10.45 a.m. to 6 p.m., 7 p.m. to 9 p.m and 10 p.m. to 12a.mtotally about 14 hours.

According to TTD official sources, plans were made to allow 23,900 pilgrims through VQC I and II compartments while another 27,000 through free and foot path queue line. However, the pilgrim rush was less than what the temple authorities anticipated, making their job easy.

A TTD official said that darshan would be allowed for 13 hours on Sunday and the number of pilgrims for darshan will be restricted to 28,900 only as the TTD expecting reduction in the pilgrim rush on the day. Darshan timing on Sunday is 6 a.m. to 12 noon, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. to 12 a.m.
