Prakasam: There is a strong buzz that Daggubati Purandeswari’s son Hitesh Chenchuram would join the YSRCP and contest from Parchuru on party ticket. Purandeswari herself is a key BJP leader and Parchur is the constituency that her husband and former minister Daggubati Venkateswara Rao represented in the Assembly in 1989 and 2004.

Sources close to Purandeswari reveal that even Purandeswari is having second thoughts about contesting on the BJP ticket as the position of the BJP is very shaky in AP due to the special status issue. Even a Rajya Sabha seat appears doubtful for her from the BJP. Even otherwise, she does not have a constituency of her own and has never nurtured a constituency so far. So, she has reportedly felt that Hitesh should join the YSRCP.

The buzz is that if she is guaranteed a ticket to contest from Vijayawada, she too would join the YSRCP. Let’s see if Hitesh alone will join the YSRCP or his mother too will accompany him.
