CPM state executive member Ch Babu Rao expressed condolences to the family members of former Member of Parliament and president of Vasavya Mahila Mandali Chennupati Vidya on her sudden demise at her Patamata residence on Saturday
Vijayawada: CPM state executive member Ch Babu Rao expressed condolences to the family members of former Member of Parliament and president of Vasavya Mahila Mandali Chennupati Vidya on her sudden demise at her Patamata residence on Saturday.
He said that Chennupati Vidya was a social reformer and had fought against problems faced by women and to uplift women in various ways. He recalled that she had gained reputation as a good parliamentarian.
He said that their family served the society through various social reform movements in the state. Vidya had started Vasavya Mahila Mandali (VMM) 50 years ago and played a key role to help, rescue women and children who were facing various social problems in society.
The sudden demise of a great leader was a huge loss to the women and society of the Telugu-speaking states, he added.
