Tirumala: The annual Pavitrotsavams off to a spiritual start with Pavithra Pratishta on Tuesday morning in the famed Sri Venkateswara temple in Tirumala. On the special religious occasion, Snapana Tirumanjanam (celestial bath) was performed to processional deities in Kalyanotsava Mandapam amidst chanting of hymns from scriptures after performing Homam and other rituals in the Yagasala in the shrine.
