Kakinada: East Godavari SP Vishal Gunni reviewed the traffic and parking issues in the city and suggested measures to both traffic and law and order staff.
The police officer visited several areas known for traffic problems in the city on Thursday and took several decisions on parking places, implementation of one way traffic and regulation of traffic.
One of the important decisions taken was the single line parking from Sarpavaram junction to Jagannackpur Bridge (old bridge) by cancelling the present two sides parking system for both four-wheelers and two-wheelers.
The SP also suggested for traffic restrictions on movement of trucks and bulk carriers into the city from 8 am to 10.30 am and from 4.30 pm to 9 pm.
The official also suggested some more important changes in traffic regulations in the city.
He suggested to public to wear seat belts and avoid drunken driving.
The SP also suggested for action on cattle owners for getting them on the roads creating lot of inconvenience to traffic movement.
