Tourism dept organises Swachhta Pakhwada in Ongole

Ongole: As part of the Swachh Pakhwada observation from September 19 to 30, in the major tourist destinations in the district, the tourism department is conducting a clean and green programme.
On Wednesday, the district tourism officer, M Nagabhushanam and his team took up cleaning, grass cutting and other activities in Kothapatnam beach.
They removed the waste, dried leaves and dumped them in the garbage bins.
Nagabhushanam ordered the department officials and local civic body staff to keep the beach clean and hygiene so that it attracts more number of tourists and become best destination for the public to spend time with the families.
The Kothapatnam MDO, Ajitha, regional manager of APTDC V Jayadev, proprietors of beach resorts Subrahmanyam, V Mohan Rao, NREGS APO Prasad, local police staff and Aanganwadi workers and tourism department staff also participated in the clean and green programme.
