Vijayawada: Former CBI Joint Director VV Lakshminarayana met jasmine flower farmers at Chandragudem village of Mylavaram mandal as part of the statewide tour on Sunday.
Lakshminarayana visited the Ganash pandal and took blessings. After reaching the village, he interacted with the jasmine flower farmers about the cultivation cost, revenue, mediators and others things.
He suggested them that they would develop only if they transform themselves into businessmen.
He said that development was possible only when farmers do not involve in politics to prosper in agriculture.
By establishing separate association, the jasmine flowers can be exported and the farmers can get good returns in the business, he added.
Jana Sena leader Y Nageswara Rao, farmers and others were present.
