Vijayawada: Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi’s great grandson Dr Anand Gokani visited Siddhartha Mahila Kalasala and was the chief guest of a special programme organised by the History department on the college premises on Wednesday.
Addressing the gathering Dr Anand Gokani briefed about the important aspects of Gandhi ji life, time management, freedom struggle and about his theories.
He said that the present youth should know the theory of Ahimsa and strive for the development of the nation as a responsibility.
He said that one should not step back on failure and with self-confidence they should move forward.
former minister and MLC Dokka Manikyavaraprasad said that he was the follower of Gandian principles and was inspired by his Ahimsa principles.
College director Dr T Vijayalakshmi spoke about Gandhiji and his ideologies.
Gandhi Society member Prasad, Dr Sriram from Chicago, college principal M Nalini, history department head N Jhansi, students and Gandhians were present on the occasion.
