West Godavari SP warns against illegal cracker making

​Eluru: West Godavari Superintendent of Police M Raviprakash has warned illegal cracker making units of action as per law. He said that running cracker units without valid licence was a crime and responsible persons would be tackled with long hands of law. He said that fire works making without licence would not be allowed. The existing cracker making units should allow police to inspect their premises and ensure the quantity of explosive material allowed in each unit. The police had the authority to act against those who had been violating law in this regard.

The SP also received representations from people at the grievance cell at police headquarters here on Monday. A woman complained to the SP that a person had cheated her by transferring property inherited from her father to another person. A man from the city complained that his wife deserted him as she was suspecting he had extramarital relationship with a neighbor.

A villager of Kruthivennu lodged a complaint stating that he was cheated by an agent who promised him a job in Dubai. However, when he landed in Dubai there was no job but harassment by employer. A person from Koyyalagudem requested the SP to act against sound pollution from a religious place in the village. The SP referred the cases to the officials concerned and ordered them to send an action taken report to him.
