Vijayawada: Good news to those devotees who could not go to Kanaka Durga temple standing in five-km queue line from Vinayaka Temple Junction on Canal Road to the temple on Indrakeeladri hillock.

The city police and the Durga temple administration are planning to start queue line near Boddu Rai (Arjuna street) on normal days instead of Vinayaka temple junction.

Every year, the queue line starts near Vinayaka temple. Walking five kms in the afternoon is a very difficult task for many devotees.

There is a demand from the devotees for many years to change the system and start the queue line near Arjuna street which reduces the distance and more convenient to devotees.

Speaking to media on Saturday, Commissioner of Police Dwaraka Tirumala Rao said the police and temple administration are planning to change system and start queue line from Boddu Rai junction this time.
