Kakinada: East Godavari SP Vishal Gunni assured full protection to people’s representatives in the district, particularly in agency areas.
Speaking to media persons at the district police office on Monday, the SP said that in view of the recent Arraku incident in the neighboring Visakha district, the police in East Godavari got the force alerted and in touch with these sections he said.
The SP asked the MLAs, MPs, MLCs and other people’s representatives to inform the police about their movements. They might be moving on various people’s issues as part of their duties. They should inform the police to keep track on safety grounds, the SP said.
“We alerted all these sections on the issue and wait for their communication to attend to their needs,” the SP clarified.
