Tirumala: Tirupati Urban SP Abhishek Mohanty gave a call to 1,200 cops to discharge their duties diligently, who were drafted to provide security for the ensuing Navaratri Brahmotsavams which will begin from tomorrow. On the directions of the SP, they were allotted duties at hill shrine in Tirumala on Tuesday.
The SP instructed cops to do their job with service motto and help the devotees, especially, aged, women and children. Apart from policemen, local students numbering 500, who were drafted as volunteers, will assist police in supervising the security, the SP stated. In the roll call meeting, Tirumala DSP Eswar Reddy and CIs were present.
