Call to donate blood to save lives
District Superintendent of Police SP Gopinath Jetty gave a call to donate blood liberally after inaugurating a mega blood donation camp at District Police Office DPO here on Tuesday The camp was organised as part of the Police Martyrs Commemoration Week Speaking on the occasion, the SP stated a blood donated by a man can save lives of five to six persons
Kurnool: District Superintendent of Police (SP) Gopinath Jetty gave a call to donate blood liberally after inaugurating a mega blood donation camp at District Police Office (DPO) here on Tuesday. The camp was organised as part of the Police Martyrs Commemoration Week. Speaking on the occasion, the SP stated a blood donated by a man can save lives of five to six persons.
Inspired by the words of the SP, city DSP Ugandhar Babu and other police personnel have donated blood. Commemorating Police Martyrs Week, the SP stated the Police Department is being organising several welfare activities apart from blood donation camp. Jetty further said blood donation camps were also held at Adoni, Nandyal, Allagadda, Dhone and Atmakur.
Around 1,513 persons including cops gave their blood in donation in these camps. The donated blood was handed over to the district headquarters hospital. Additional SP (Armed Reserve) I Venkatesh, Commandant (Home Guards) N Chandramouli, DSPs and others participated in the blood donation camp.
