Kakinada: People’s Voice, a voluntary organisation, demanded that the administration take immediate measures for provision of dumping yard for Kakinada smart city.
Speaking at a meet organised here on Sunday, the convener of the organisation D Ramana Raju said that the city lacked a permanent dumping yard for more than a decade.
Because of this reason, the dumping of garbage of 250 MT per day turned out to be a difficult task for sanitary department.
Because of makeshift dumping yards in the smart city, the mosquito problem has been on the rise resulting in viral fevers and dengue cases in city and suburbs.
The People’s Voice wanted action on a war-footing for permanent solution to the problem.
