Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) staff has decided to donate Rs.2 crore to the Titli cylone victims in Srikakulam district. Over 54,000 RTC employees will donate each Rs.400 as contribution to the cyclone relief fund.

RTC Employees’ Union state president Y V Rao and general secretary Palisetty Damodara Rao handedover a letter in this regard to the APSRTC Managing Director N Surendra Babu at the RTC Bhavan here on Wednesday.

The two leaders said the donation amount will be recovered from the salary of the staff from the month of October and the bank cheque will be handed over to Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu in the first week of November. However, the RTC employees of Srikakulam district are exempted from the donation to the cyclone relief fund.
