Tenders for permanent Assembly building soon: Minister Narayana

Vijayawada: Minister for Municipal Administration P Narayana said that soon the tenders will be called for the construction of permanent Assembly building in Amaravati. The tender process will be completed after finalising the tenders for the construction of Assembly buildings. He inspected the ongoing construction of the officers' building at Nelapadu village in Amaravati on Wednesday.

The roads and building works are going at a brisk pace, he said and added that totally 3,840 apartments are being constructed in the capital region and majority of the works are in finishing stage. The construction of two towers 56 floors and 48 floors respectively for HoDs and the secretariat employees would be completed in the next two years, he said.

Nearly 70 per cent of the High Court building construction work has been completed so far, he said and added that the building would be handed over to judicial authorities by November 15. As many as 186 bungalows are being completed for the judges and the ministers, Narayana explained.

The minister also said that all the buildings would be completed by March 2019. He said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had instructed them to construct all the works with international standard.

The 320 km-long roads are being laid, he said and added that works relating to underground cable, power, water, drainage system works are causing delay for the road works. Amaravati Development Corporation CE Moses, SE Suryanarayana Raju and CRDA higher officials were also present.
