Vijayawada: The 88th Foundation Day of Vijaya Bank was celebrated with great festivity and joy on Tuesday at its Regional Office, Vijayawada. To commemorate the anniversary of the Bank, various events were organized across the country.

Established on 23rd October, 1931, Vijaya Bank is one of the premier Nationalised Banks in the country. The Bank has been surpassing several milestones and contributing significantly to the growth and all-round development of the country. Having a total business of over Rs. 3,00,000 crores as on date.

The Foundation Day, which marked the completion of 87 glorious years of the organisation, started by paying rich tributes to its founding father Shri Attavara Balakrishna Shetty and Shri Mulki Sunder Ram Shetty, the architect of modern Vijaya Bank. Shri P. Srinivasa Reddy, Deputy General Manager addressed the gathering in a glittering function which was attended by large number of customers, well wishers, retired staff and staff members.

The Bank is observing Vigilance Awareness Week-2018 from 29th October 2018 to 3rd November 2018 with the theme “Eradicate Corruption and Build a New India” across its branches and offices. During the week, integrity pledges would be administered to the employees, families of the employees, other stakeholders and general public. Sri R.S.K. Sarma, Sri Ritesh Kumar – Chief Managers, Regional Office and Vijayawada City Branches staff has participated in the function.
