Visakhapatnam: After six weeks later, a letter was released by the CPI Maoists claiming responsibility for the dual murder of Araku MLA Kidari Sarveswara Rao and former MLA of Araku Siveri Soma.

The Maoists in the previous letter didn’t mention the exact reasons for killing of TD leaders. But in the latest letter written by Jagadbandhu, the spokesperson of Andhra Odisha Border Special Zonal Committee (AOBSZC), the Maoists claimed that both the TDP leaders were killed as they turned into mining mafia by ignoring the interests of tribals and did not pay attention to development of tribal pockets after being elected as public representatives.

Both Kidari and Siveri had looted natural and forest resources in spite of the several warnings. The TD leaders also turned into brokers for aluminium companies_ Jindal and ANRAK, pointed out the Maoists. Involving in the illegal mining activities in Vizag Agency, Kidari and Siveri had become crorepathis in a short time and amassed several illegal assets in Araku, Anantagiri, Paderu and in Vizag city also, the ultras claimed.
