Govt keen on women empowerment, says Kodela

Guntur: Assembly Speaker Dr Kodela Siva Prasada Rao’s Atmeeya Samavesam with the SHGs was held at Kakateeya Kalyana Mandapam in Sattenapalli on Monday.
Speaking on this occasion, he said that the state government was giving encouragement to every woman to earn at least Rs10,000 per month. “If wife and husband will work, family will run smoothly,” he said.
The Speaker distributed sarees, pasupu and kumkuma to the women under the aegis of Dr Kodela Satyanarayana Charitabe Trust. He said that he developed Sattenapalli with Rs 200 crore during the last four-and-a-half years.
He reminded that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was implementing schemes for the empowerment of women.
He said that banks were sanctioning loans to the SHGs in a big way and urged the women avail the benefits of the welfare scheme to come up in the life. He urged the women to plant saplings in a big way.
