Vijayawada: Expressing happiness over launching the first public housing project ‘HappyNest’ in Amaravati capital by Capital Regional Development Authority (CRDA), Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday suggested the APCRDA authorities that the HappyNest project must be planned keeping the people of lower income and middle income groups in mind to realise their dream of having a smart home at a cheaper price in the capital region.
He instructed the CRDA officials to adopt a five-pronged strategy to ensure total transparency in providing the smart homes with international standards to all sections of people in the capital city. In a Teleconference with APCRDA officials, Chief Minister said that as Amaravati will be a true people’s capital, the APCRDA should be more conscious in reaching the expectations of all sections of people when it takes up various projects. He conducted Teleconference as the CRDA planned opening the web portal for public on November 9 for online applications. “A five-pronged strategy must be implemented to make the public housing project more acceptable to people. Quality and cost effective, credibility, public satisfaction, total transparency and first-cum-first-serve basis are the five parameters that need to be implemented in the housing project,” the Chief Minster said.
Principal Secretary for Energy, I&I, CRDA Ajay Jain briefed the Chief Minister that they were expecting huge response for HappyNest project and all the 600 apartments under phase-1 would be sold within a few hours when the CRDA opens web portal for public on November 9 for online applications.
CRDA Commissioner Ch Sreedhar said each apartment in HappyNest had been designed exclusively to provide ultra-fine living promising health and happiness to the residents. “The flats are designed ranging in size between 1,290 and 2,750 sft. HappyNest offers a style of living and this is where art, innovation and technology are blended to create world class environment," he said.
Sreedhar said the CRDA will complete the 1200 smart 2 and 3 bed-room flats in 12 towers in two phases. The apartments will come up on a sprawling area of 14.46 acres in the heart of Amaravati city.
