Ongole: The Bhashyam Little Champs in Ram Nagar, celebrated Children’s Day as part of the birth anniversary celebrations of former prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru, on Wednesday.

As part of the celebrations, the school organised various competitions and games for the children. Few of the children adorned the getup of Chacha Nehru while some other children sung the patriotic songs.

The principal Suseela offered Children’s Day greetings and distributed prizes for the children who won in the competitions. The staff distributed sweets to the children and explained the importance of the Children’s Day.

In Chirala, the students of Altus International School and their grandparents were enthralled by the gala celebrations of Children’s Day. The Director cum Principal P Kadhiresan, addressed the gathering emphasising the need for social etiquette with the family, neighborhood and friends.

He said that the respects and manners for the elders need to be intact though there rapid advancement in technology and generation. The principal, teachers and grandparents offered floral tributes to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and the children bowed and took the blessings from their grandparents.
