Tuni: The Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Tuni in East Godavari demanded that the local body conduct birth control operations to stray dogs instead of killing them. The SPCA members blocked road on flyover in Tuni on Sunday against the action of authorities.
Addressing the demonstration, president of SPCA Gollapalli Veerababu alleged that the authorities were indulging in killing of stray dogs during night time and not taking action on those who resort transportation of cattle to slaughter houses. The SPCA activists participated.
