The Prakasam district Fencing Association general secretary, V Nageswara Rao announced that the selections for the boys and girls teams for the Prakasam district were conducted at the Narayana Public School in Nirmal Nagar in Ongole on Sunday
Ongole: The Prakasam district Fencing Association general secretary, V Nageswara Rao announced that the selections for the boys and girls teams for the Prakasam district were conducted at the Narayana Public School in Nirmal Nagar in Ongole on Sunday.
Nageswara Rao said that the best performing 12 boys and 12 girls were selected from 120 players who attended from all places across the district.
He announced that M Himateja, V Varshith, Sk Akram, K Bhargav were selected in the boys category while G Rachana, T Rama, P Vijayalakshmi, N Keerthi were selected in the girls category of foil discipline.
In the epee discipline boys team, V Varun, T Rajkumar, AGVS Prabhat, KV Murali Krishna found place while J Sai Ankita, P Haripriya, R Keerthi, KLS Vaishnavi got into girls team.
T Yashvanth, KV Satyasai, M Sai Amar, B Naveen were selected in the Sabre boys discipline while E Sivani, K Sandhya, K Naga Jahnavi, R Keerthana are selected in the girls team.
He said that the Prakasam district Olympic Association secretary, Kurra Bhaskara Rao, Narayana Public School correspondent K Sowjanya, Prakasam district fencing association president Balisetti Nageswara Rao also attended the programme.
