Kadapa: Central Crime Station (CCS) police have arrested a person on the charges of collecting huge sums of money from the unemployed youth in the name providing jobs to them in Central government departments. The accused is identified as Tanuku Basava Raju of Devuni Kadapa area in Kadapa city.

Addressing a press conference here CCS DSP D Nageswara Reddy here on Monday said that following recent notification published by the Railway department for various posts, the accused hatched plan for looting money from the unemployed youth by making them believe that he would facilitate jobs in Railway department.

Youth from surrounding villages approached the accused and paid him about Rs 20 lakhs. The victims suspected him as he gave unconvincing replies. One Puligoti Chirunjeevi of Devuni Kadapa lodged complaint on Nov 14 with Chinna Chowk police. Police arrested him at Gousenagar.
