Anantapur: Though the time for State Assembly election is approaching fast, Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan seemed to be having priorities wrong. The newly born party does not possess organisational structure or even ad-hoc committees in the district or mandal level. No district convenors had been appointed to organise party programmes.

Pawan Kalyan had come to the district twice and during the two visits, no effort had been made to appoint ad-hoc committees or give a direction to the party workers who are basically his fans.

The TDP is organisationally strong and YSRCP is far better, but Jana Sena Party has no organisational strength. No membership drive in the district and in many places there are no party offices. For two years Pawan Kalyan just spent away time touring districts. According to local leaders, though there is no membership drive, Pawan Kalyan dreams of coming to power.

The question of booth committees for handling voters does not arise as even the party membership drive had not been launched. In the absence of party cadre, Pawan’s visits to the district could not be effectively used to increase the number of voters and at the same time, youth are in a state of disappointment.

According to internal sources, Pawan is planning a visit to USA to meet NRI sympathisers and raise funds for the party and only then will take up developing party and selection of candidates. Locally as in the case of other districts, confusion prevailed in Anantapur district also. If Pawan Kalyan wishes to contest from here, he has to done a lot of party work.
