Nellore: Telugu Desam is pioneer in implementing welfare schemes and there is no need to copy welfare schemes from other states.

Former Chief Minister NT Rama Rao had introduced many welfare schemes for the first time in the country, said Agriculture Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy. Now, the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is creating history by introducing welfare schemes for the poor, he stated.

Minister has participated in various activities in Pottempadu in Muthukur mandal here on Saturday. Speaking at the meeting, Minister Chandramohan Reddy said that they had constructed cement concrete road with Rs 2.5 crore in Pottempadu. He explained that they had laid pipeline for drinking water with Rs 18 lakh from Brahmadevi to the village.

Somireddy said that they had brought mineral water plant to the village and would soon start Transco sub-station. State government is going to distribute smart phones to 93 lakh women with Rs 10,000 each, said the Minister. He explained that Social Security Pensions have been doubled from February onwards. TDP Sarvepalli constituency coordinator S Rajagopal Reddy and others were present.
