Visakhapatnam: Around 25 Maoists set on fire to a private bus after asking all the 30 passengers and thrashed its staff at Mundaguda near Mathili in Malkangiri district in Odisha state on Monday night. The Maosists asked all the 30 passengers in the to get down and then set it on fire. The bus was going towards Mahapodaar from Malkangiri.

According to the sources the driver and the conductor were questioned by the Maoists that "why they had driven bus during their Protest Week, which is being observed from January 25 to 31. Later the Maoists beat up both. Maoist also called up for Bharat Bandh on January 31st.

Such incidents create panic at AoB agency areas and among tribes .The private bus was completely gutted and later the Maoists fled away with the cell phones of both driver and conductor from the spot, sources said.
