Guntur: Student leaders of AISF, SFI staged a protest at Bhagat Singh statue in the city on Friday, demanding that the Centre accord SCS to the state and fulfill the promises mentioned in the state bifurcation act and do justice to Andhra Pradesh.
Addressing the gathering, AISF state president Mahamkali Subba Rao said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had failed to fulfill the assurances mentioned in the state bifurcation act and cheated the the people of AP.
He criticized that the Centre had failed to give SCS and did not take any steps to set up steel factory at Kadapah.
They raised slogans against Modi and added that the latter has no right to visit the state.
SFI state vice-president V Bhavan Das demanded that the PM visit AP after fulfilling the assurances mentioned in the state bifurcation act.
