Tirupati: The Road-over-Bridge (RoB) being constructed on railway track near RVS College in Chittoor is nearing completion. Construction of the RoB was taken up at a cost of Rs 68 crore in January 2018.

As per the agreement, the bridge construction works have to be completed within 2 years. Under the supervision of executive engineer (R&B) Kaveti Hari Prasad, workers have placed railway girder to connect the both ends of the bridge. The RoB will be opened to traffic by the end of February.

Commuters, especially, pilgrims travelling on Chittoor-Tirupati highway to Tirupati can heave a sigh of relief once the RoB is opened. Travelling time between Chittoor and Tirupati will come down. Due to closing of railway gate near RVS College every time a train passes through, pilgrims were facing inconvenience. Hari Prasad took initiative for completion of work ahead of actual schedule.
