Kakinada: The Godavari Urban Development Authority authorities, as part of creating awareness to authorities in the panchayats under its purview, conducted videoconference on Friday from East Godavari collectorate.
GUDA chairman Ganni Krishna and vice-chairman Dr R Amarendra Kumar addressed the panchayati- raj officials on various aspects and procedural mode in implementing BPS under building regularization scheme.
The need for BPS, mode of applying for it, guidelines and other issues related in regularisation of constructions were explained in detail.
The chairman and vice-chairman asked the builders to utilize the scheme within stipulated and permitted time.
District Panchayat Officer Nageswara Nayak, GUDA chief planning officer G Ramkumar and others participated.
