Kadapa: Police have arrested 12 red sanders smugglers and seized 16 logs and three vehicles from them at Dudyala Village of Thoti samvepalli mandal in Kadapa district on Sunday.
Pulivendula D SP D Nagaraju addressing a press conference at Rayachoti on Sunday, said when police are conducting searches in the wee hours of Sunday, they noticed 12 smugglers transporting red sanders logs.
The smugglers were arrested and 16 red sanders logs were seized. The DSP said that some smugglers managed to escape from the seen by pelting stones on police. Rayachoti rural CI P Narasimha Raju, T Samvepalli SI T Ramanjaneyudu T Sundupalli SI J Narasimha Reddy and others were present.
