Rajamahendravaram: City Congress president NV Srinivas has demanded that former MP Vundavalli Arun Kumar withdraw his comments made against All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Rahul Gandhi at a meeting held in the city here on Monday.
Speaking to reporters at Press Club here on Tuesday, he said Undavalli was in confusion to which party he has to support.
“The people elected you twice from Rajamahendravaram Parliamentary constituency as you were with Congress and rapport with Rahul family. But you betrayed the family for your own ends,” he criticised.
“The Congress gave you life in politics and after enjoying power, you are making derogatory comments against Rahul Gandhi which is not good,” he said.
The people believed Rahul Gandhi who assured to sign on Special Category Status (SCS) file after coming into power.
Congress leaders K Srinivas, Shariff and others were present.
