Mahindra Thar Facelift launching on July 22. Mahindra has set July 22 as the launch date for its immensely popular off-roader Thar. The Thar will get cosmetic changes on the outside and inside but the performance of the car will stay the same. Mahindra is releasing the facelift version of the Thar with an updated front bumper, a side-step and a new canopy for the rear.

The insides of the car also receive updates with Mahindra offering two different colour tones for the dashboard, chrome work on the instrument panels and new AC vents. The Thar also gets a new three-spoke steering wheel and two additional cup holders. Under the hood things will remain same for the Thar with Mahindra offering the 2.5-litre DI and 2.5-litre CRDe engines with the DI engine coming with both rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive.
The CRDe engine comes only with four-wheel drive. Both engines are mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The Thar was originally launched in 2010 as a replacement of the Willys CJ-3B jeep and has been popular with off-roading enthusiasts. It will be priced in the Rs 5-8 lakh region
